The Hudson Country Club is just east of St. Paul, on the Wisconsin side of the river at exit 2, and abuts I-94 at Carmichael Road. The course was re-designed by William Gill recently, but opened in the 1950s, and plays to 6,435 yards from the tips, par 71, with a slope of 131 and a 71.0 course rating. Typical, classic parkland style of layout over rolling hills with a variety of holes, some doglegs, most all tree lined with a few holes with water in play. Moderate amount of bunkering, small greens for the most part, so a premium on your short game to score well here. A well conditioned course, known for their fast and undulating greens, a real challenge to play, driver's not always the best club off the tee. Bent grass from tee to green, fairly stiff greens fee, but a good solid layout. Folks in the golf shop were a little snooty, but other than that, enjoyable and a strong challenge.

Course was in great shape in all aspects-tee boxes, fairways, greens and traps. Why a bargain? My good golf buddy treated!
