The Hot Springs Country Club is in the Hot Springs National Park, and opened in 1898. There's two 18 hole courses here in the Ouachita foothills. The original course is the Park, and plays to 6836 yards from the back tees, and 124 slope It was designed by Scotsman Willie Parks, Jr in 1898 and was renovated in 2001. It's a resort type course with wide fairways, and water features, limited use of bunkering, and smallish greens, which have decent undulation. The Arlington course was recently renovated by Coore/Crenshaw, the original architect was William Diddle in 1927. It's the tougher and more championship in nature of the two courses with narrow fairways through rolling terrain and plays to 6690 yards from the back tees and 127 slope. Tree lined fairways, a lot of water, playing to reasonably sized greens with good undulation. A good solid track, one not too be missed if you're in Hot Springs.
