Homestead is on the Washington/British Columbia border, about 10 miles east of Blaine, off the I-5 at exit 274. The golf course is part of the Homestead resort here, but you don't have to stay here to play here. The course and the resort are in the middle of a residential community, nicely conditioned, with good views of Mount Baker and the Canadian Rocky Mountain Range. Terrific golf course and setting, extremely well maintained, and excellent service with reasonable rates..what more could you ask for! The course can play to 6900 yards, 139 slope from the back tees, down to 6,033 yards, 128 slope from the whites, and 5,570 for the ladies. The golf course was designed by Bill Overdorf in the early 1990's, and has a good mix of different holes. Eventually when the trees grow in it will be a tough parkland style, at the moment, they're still small, and don't impact play as much, but there's a lot of water, it's well bunkered, and to me was very challenging. Well conditioned, must play in the area.
