Heritage Hills is part of a hotel/resort conference center on the east side of York and is operated by the same group as runs Springwood. It's a little expensive to play, but worth it, especially when it's wet at other courses, but dry here due to the drainage here. It's a Russell Roberts design from 1989 and is 6623 yards from the championship tees, 122 slope. Parkland style course and layout with tree lined fairways, nice movement in the land, challenging holes, and well conditioned and landscaped. A very nice, somewhat forgiving layout, resort like course, conditions and service.

This course is set in a rustic and hilly area in York, PA. If you are looking to get away from the urban environment and experience some beautiful scenery, Heritage Hills would be a good place to go. The fairways are in good shape, however the greens are quite hard. It looked like they just got done aerating them. The rough can be pretty thick at times. A few good hazards here and there, especially on the back nine. I really did enjoy a hole on the front nine where you drive off a cliff, down to the green. Heritage Hills did consist of some striking views of the hillside. With that said, if you walk the course that will be a pretty good workout in itself! All in all, I enjoyed playing Heritage Hills. They have a really nice patio/bar area outside to relax and grab a beer and a bite while overlooking the 18th green. I can see this course being gorgeous in the Fall months.
