Heritage Golf Club is the former Dr J/Julius Erving owned Celevrity Golf Club. It's on the northeast side of Atlanta in Tucker, off Pleasantdale Road from I-85, or Chamblee Tucker off I-285. Have always found it to be a good solid parkland style course, a little expensive, but well conditioned. The fairways are mostly tree lined, there's some water in play, moderate use of bunkers, mostly greenside, and challenging design. There's a total of 27 holes here, mostly just the adjoining holes bordering each hole, except on the perimeter where there's some housing. The course was designed by Mike Young on land with some good elevation change, wetlands, lakes, so he had a lot to work with. Mostly open off the tee, but there's some forced carries, the greens tend to be elevated, some are tiered and with good undulation. Would recommend playing here.

Celebrity is in foreclosure, Dr. J's out $5M, defaulted on an $11M loan, hope somehow they keep the course running and in decent shape.

Another great round at a great course in great condition. The greens have never been truer, once we adjusted to the fact that they were rather quick. The fairways create an almost perfect lie, and the rough was lush in most places and not too penal.

this course allows you to swing hard off the tee wide fairways and fast greens

Some of the best greens I have seen anywhere. All 18 greens, which resembled a private course, were unblemished. I liked this course the best out of the three courses Atlanta. The wide open fairways and average length made it easy to score on.
