Headwaters at Granby Ranch

Headwater is about 2 hours northwest of Denver on the southeast side of Granby in Granby County. It's part of the Granby Ranch real estate development just north of SolVista Ski Basin. It's a links style golf course, wide open off the tee, not much in the way of trees, the fairways are bordered by tall fescue grasses and wetlands along the Fraser River. It's a Michael Asmundson from the Nicklaus design group layout, the front nine along the river valley is a great warm-up for a spectacular backside up in the foothills. Quite a lot of fun to play, conditions were good, and the course was empty. Played from the middle tees at 6602 yard, 126 slope and 70.1 course rating, and at 8,000 feet played like 6,000 yards.. Reasonably priced, a treat to play.
