The course is a muni, but one of the best munis I've ever played. It was designed by Keith Foster, and can play to 7,308 yards from the back tees, but has 3 other positions. Just a golf course here, no housing, nothing but views of the Yampa Valley and Mount Werner. It's a fairly level course built in a meadow with the wide fairways and landing areas surrounded by native grasses and wetlands. There's some interesting mounding in and around the green complexes creating some interesting approaches. The greens are large, and with good undulations, and of good speed. It's in good condition, and the best golf course for miles around Steamboat. Green fees range depending on the season.

Beautiful course and setting, reasonably priced, conditions were OK this early in the season. The best option for upscale golf in Steamboat, fantastic views, and not a house in sight!
