The Hartford Golf Club is about 40 minutes northwest of Milwaukee, take US 41 to WI 60, the west to the town of Hartford, then south on Main street. The course is a traditional style of layout with trees lining the fairways, straighforward back and forth holes, a couple holes with water in play, and a good amount of sand, both in the landing zones, and guarding the greens. We generally play from the tips at 6,500 yards, 70.7/121 and it's a good test. Not the quality of golf course as Washington County or of course Erin Hills, but is more reasonably priced, and not quite as busy. It's generally well maintained, especially the greens, and has some fun, interesting holes.
