Used to be known as The Golf Club at the Wharf, it's north of the beach in Gulf Shores, off RT 59, north of Fort Morgan Road. The golf course is surrounded by an upscale resort real estate community, and is a well regarded course in the area. It was originally built in the 1960's, but re-designed by Jay and Carter Morris and renamed in 2006. We generally play from the Blue tees which is about 6,300 yards, 70.3/119, and find it challenging for our group of 10-15 handicappers. The course is flat as are most in the coast area, but it's an interesting layout with a good amount of variety, plenty of sand. The greens are good sized and have some undulation, and there's water in play on enough holes to keep it interesting. The course doesn't have the character or quality as Craft Farms or Kiva Dunes, but is a close second to both. Good choice for more reasonably priced golf in our area.

Nonone there when we played. Layout is pretty interesting, but conditions were not very good. Payed $65.00 - and not worth it.

It''s a pretty nice layout that plays fair if you can keep it in play. Has a bit of an "artificial" feel to it though as it''s easy to see a lot of dirt was moved to create some of the elevation changes. A few pretty good holes, but overall it lacked some of strategy that''s more evident on the really good layouts (modern and classic design). Got to play it for a really good deal, so it was worth it for that. Not sure if I would pay their full asking price to go play it again though. Course was in good shape since they had just had a big amateur qualifier there the week before.
