At 7233 yards from the tips, water, trees, waste areas, and plenty of sand, it's an intimadating course. Lake Charles is on the far west side of Louisana, just off I-10. The course was designed by Rocky Roquemore, and water and the occassional alligator are the main features. Water comes into play on 12 holes, there's even an island green. The fairways are carved through stands of pines, are somewhat forgiving in size, playing to greens complexes surrounded by bunkers. It's a development course, but the homesites don't interfer with the visual play. It's usually in great condition, and the price is right.

Very good layout and course was in great shape. We got there early (from out of town) and they worked us in an hour earlier than our tee time. Mary in the grill was very pleasant and friendly! We had a great time!!!

This is a Championship course and plays like it as well. You will see water, sand, wind and any other hazard you can think of. A fully enjoyable round of golf!. The best hole was #6, 146 yard par three over water and the wind is always a factor. You have to select your club very carefully given that this is the smallest green on the course. Excellent layout overall, very tough, be prepared to loose a lot of balls.
