Grande Pines was designed by Steve Smyers in collaboration with Nick Faldo and is location on International Drive, adjoining Sea World in the midst of the attraction area in southwest Orlando. The course was routed around and through protected wetlands and among mature tall pines, oaks and palms. It's relatively flat, some tight fairways, with a number of interesting holes, and plenty of sand The course is a member of the Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary Program for Golf Courses, and is affiliate with Marriott's Grande Vista timeshare resort. It's pricing, a little steep, is justified by its proximity to the attraction area, and generally excellent conditions and service.

The course was in good, not great shape, the greens rolled true, a good amount of undulation, and large, so being on in regulation doesn't necessarily mean a two putt.Interesting layout, good mix of long and short holes, some drivable par 4's from the gold tees, but trouble's lurking everywhere with water, sand, and brush lining the fairways. Good rate via GolfNow at $53, nice change of pace from the usual Orlando resort courses.

this is a nice course but it is a bit of target golf on many holes. very well bunkered, maybe to well bunkered. many fairway and green side. aesthetically really nice to look at with the redesign by faldo. conditions are good but always eats my lunch. plays tough or maybe i just play poorly there the 3 times i played over the years. nice clubhouse and showers for pre flight home.
