The North, South, and East Nines at Grand Cypress were designed by Jack Nicklaus along with the New Course, a total of 45 holes here. Three very good nines, all about the same type of play. The greens here are the course's major defense, humpy, fast, like McCord says, a couple of elephants buried here, and they use bikini wax! There's a good amount of water, fairway and greenside bunkers, and is a shotmakers course. There is plenty of room off the tee, but the approach shots are multi-dimensional. Some times they're elevated, like #6 on the South, probably 20 feet above the fairway! Some are surrounded or bordered by water, and all of them have bunkers. It's all a good test of golf, I don't think I would favor any of the nine's. The north was recently renovated, but I'm not sure there's a whole lot of drastic changes made, more of an updating. All in all, a great golf experience. You could, and should spend the day here...the New, North, South, and East. Food service and guest service is excellent. Will always return. Much better than any of the Disney courses save maybe Osprey. Contact the golf course directly for tee times, or check GolfNow! for the best rates.

Pace of play under 4 hour, greens were running 10+ on the stimp, conditions overall perfect, all that was needed was a good golf game. Great golf course, played the East and North, very fair and forgiving off the tee, enough sand and water to keep it interesting, some very difficult pin positions today.

Played on a perfect December day with a light breeze. The North and South routing, excellent challenge, the greens were probably rolling an 11, and with the humps and hollows, undulations were a challenge to putt. Got a discount rate of $15.99 for being a guest of a member, unbelieveable! Pace of play, never waited and finished in under 4 hours. One of the better days on a golf course on a lot of counts!

Played the East and North, the rough was up in preparation for the LPGA tourney in a couple of weeks, the greens were a bit hairy due to all the rain, I don't think they move Saturday morning. Rain the first side, broke open to sunny skies the backside. Overall the course was in good, but not great shape, got around in right at 4 hours, which is always a test at Grand Cypress

Played the North and East today, but got rained out after 6 holes, and a replay for 9 holes, didn't seem all that fair, but was playing with a member so my greens fees were only $40 anyway. Greens haven't grown in well, or they've been affected by the freezes we've had, they were a little thing, but running fast, otherwise the course was in great shape, albeit thunderstorms, rain, and 30 mpg wind! If it tells you anything, we were playing with friends from Scotland, and they were the ones who wanted to stop playing!

Played 27 holes, an all day match with some pals from England. The East course was immaculate, the greens running fast and true even though we were first out and there was some dew on them. The North side greens had been just sanded with dead grass clippings all over, quite a different feel, the South was somewhere in the middle. Excellent conditions the rest of the course, and played in just under 4 hours for the first 18, then 1.5 hours for the third.

Played the East and North today, excellent conditions, played behind a foursome that must have shot 400 among them, but we still finished in under 4 hours. Beautiful day, played for $37 with a member, and won a couple of skins!

We played the North/South combo from the Men\'s back (not the championship tees) at 6500 yards with a 72.0/131 rating and slope. The course is designed by Jack Nicklaus. Normally, I\'m not a huge fan of Nicklaus courses, but this one really caught my attention. A beautiful set up, very challenging but fair, excellent & exceptionally fast greens. Water and bunkers are strategically placed and not just for looks. The entire place was nice to be in. The club house is beautiful, with good locker room and pro shop. The bar and restaurant area are very classy with good food and drinks. Expensive as one would expect for a top notch resort, but not over the top in any way. Everyone was terrific in the service department. They list the place as private, but actually its a call in for a tee time deal. If you can splurge, or find someone else to pay for it, this is a course you want to play.

Played the South and East today, and for the first time mastered the South at a 38.Didn't play all that much better, just got the right bounces that allow me to score. The golf course was in awesome shape, greens were perfect, pace of play was just at 4 hours, played on the member's rate at $41, and won a $14 skin. Couldn't ask for a better day!

Played the North, then South, thank goodness the North gave us a chance to warm up, the South course is a killer, mostly the greens, at least 6 extra putts on the backside. Course was in outstanding shape, challenging, the South almost penal. Pace of play on the front was 1 hr 45 minutes, the back 2 hr 15 minutes, so very good overall. Great guest service, and played on a member's rate at $41. All square on the Nassau game, so all in all a great day.

Played the South and East today, greens were in excellent condition, as was the rest of the course. The South is so unfair once you're on the green, you can be playing tee to green well, but then three putt every green due to the undulations and some tight pin placements, and some generally unfair holes. Pace of play was 5 hours today after teeing off in one of the first groups at 8 am, two foursomes in front of us held up the whole day, and never a ranger in sight.
