The course is in the northwest suburb of Algonquin, take the NW Tollway/I-90 to Randall Road, then north. It's a links style of layout, no trees, wide open, designed by Dick Nugent and Bruce Borland in the 1980's through a housing development. The fairways are ope off the tee, but bordered by tall fescue type grasses. There's also a lot of mounding, plenty of traps, and water's only in play on 6 holes. From the blue tees, it's 6,589 yards, 128 slope, and 71.8 course rating. The course is enjoyable to play, well maintained and well run, and the greens are firm and quick. They also have a good 19th hole to sit and put a few away and eat some decent food.

This is the best course I have played in the the area period. The staff was very friendly. The course condition was as good as it gets from my experience and the golf course a great layout. I play quite a few that think they are of this quality, but don't measure up. Some of the views alone make this course worth the trip, but there is plenty to like.
