Felicita is on the north side of Harrisburg, off I-81 at exit 72, then north a few miles. It's a large golf resort with different types of lodging, but you don't have to stay there to play the golf course. the course was designed in the early 1960's by David Gordon, and plays to 6,510 yards from the black tees, par 72, with a 71.0 course rating and a 130 slope. The rates are a little expensive for visitors, but they do have twilight rates, and lower rates during the week. The course is like playing through a landscaped garden, maybe like a poor-man's Augusta National. It's a beautiful setting in the mountains, and the golf course layout is a real test. You'll likely be better off leaving the driver in the trunk of your car, as it's a placement course off the tee. Every hole is named...1=Zen, 2=Magnolia, 3=Alpine, 4=Woodland, etc if that gives you an idea. It's a very scenic course, always in great shape, they especially take care of the greens, which are generally fast and with a lot of undulations. Nice place to play in the Fall or Spring, except that the tight fairways and small greens won't help you to score, unless you're a shotmaker. Fun and challenging, not really walkable with all the hills, good choice for golf in the Harrisburg area, and worth the drive if you're from out of the area.
