Glendoveer is on the east side of Portland, off the I-205 at Gilsan, or I-84 at 122nd. There's two 18 hole courses here, have been here forever. Traditional style golf with tree lined fairways. The East Course is considered the most demanding because of its length and tight, tree-lined fairways. It plays to a par 73, 6,296 yards, with 119/69.3. ratings and was designed by John Junor in the 1920's.s The West course is 6,129 yards from the back tees, par 71, with 68.3/111 ratings and was designed by Frank Stenzel in the 1920's as well. The West Course is a little easier, with more open fairways and no water hazards coming into play. The greens on both courses are small and fast, there's some room on the West for errant drives, but not on the East. The course has some movement to it, but it's easy to walk, always crowded, and unfortunately pace of play is usually a problem.

Glendoveer is a challenging track in Southeast Portland, it's long and lined with tall trees with lots of elevation changes, without many flat lies in the fairway. It's usually in pretty good shape, but not one of the best manicured courses in Portland. The East course is the more challenging, while the West is significantly less demanding and a lot of fun. If you do venture out onto the East side, make sure you bring plenty of golf balls. Great range and practice facilities.
