Gleannloch Pines is north of Houston in Spring, off the Tomball Parkway/249 at Spring Cypress. The golf course used to be known as Gleannloch Farms until it was purchased by the Tour 18 group. Nice combination of holes, some with tree lined fairways, others open and links-style. There's 27 holes, designed by Jay Riviere, and routed through a tightly packed residential development in Spring. Semi-private course, nice clubhouse, conditioning was fine, as was the pace of play. A good amount of water and sand, the greens were large, fairways mounded, mostly straightforward layout, really enjoyed the holes through the trees.

Despite this course playing extremely difficult today with winds north of 20mph, I was once again impressed with the overall condition of the course. Fairways were in great shape, the rough was cut to a fair height, and the bunkers had obviously been freshly groomed. I do have to complain a bit about the greens though - speed was inconsistent (mostly slow), pin placement was comical, and their overall condition could be described as shaggy.
