This little executive nine holer is surrounded by the Ann Arbor residential area known as Georgetown. Designed by Charles Maddox and his son (Charles Jr.), the course opened in 1970. It was built as an amenity for the surrounding residential development and evenutally ownership passed to the residents and members. The course is open for public play even though it is a private club.
The par is 28 and it is not rated by the Golf Association of Michigan. It measures about 1,500 yards with eight par-3 holes and one drivable par 4. No power carts are available but the flat terrain makes walking an easy option.
This is a nice place to work on one's short game. There are sufficient bunkers to allow for a bit of sand work, too. Greens are small and not too difficult to putt. This is a nice little course to take the grandkids out for a quick 9 holes.
Located in Ann Arbor, take the State Street exit north from I-94. Turn east (right) on Eisenhower and then right again at King Geirge Boulevard.
