The Gastonia Muni is on the south side of Gastonia on Union. It's an old classic, designed by Donald Ross in the 1930's, and would doubt much has changed with it since, although it's generally well maintained. Typical of older courses, the greens tend to be on the small side, somewhat elevated, and require a good short game to get up and down. It's a traditional layout with scattered tree lined fairways over rolling hills with the Catawba Creek running through it. It's only 6,172 yards from the tips, but has a 69.5/130 course and slope rating, par of 70, you shoot your normal game here, you've played well!
