Fox Hopyard is off I-95 about 10 miles at the Old Lyme exit 70. It's a very nice Roger Rulewich designed parkland style course of 7000 yards from the back tees, par 71, 136 slope. If you've played Crumpin Fox, it was developed by the same folks with the same level of quality in the course and the clubhouse. Very interesting holes with a lot of variety through hilly, tree lined fairways, water in the form of ponds and wetlands, and some more open holes as well. The layout has its share of forced carries, playing to small, well protected greens. Excellent conditions, a little on the expensive side, but there are off peak rates, great clubhouse for a post round beer.

Got to enjoy a great round of golf here this weekend. Lovely course; really had a lot of fun playing it. The staff is super friendly and certainly helped make the round more enjoyable. Interesting course and very player-friendly, which was great because this was my first round of the year! Would definitely recommend this course to others!

The fee of $50 is not correct. During the shoulder season (after November 9th) there is a $50 discount off of green fees. It is not only $50 after you have played once. But I do think the price at any time of year is worth it.

the fee is actually only 50 dollars after you have played once so it us not that bad for the quality of golf course. the greatest part of this golf course is how there is not a single hole that is the same, every hole is unique and i think this is something that should be valued more in a golf course.

Stayed at the casino and drove over to play this golf course. Very enjoyable day and solid test of golf.
Good mix of interesting holes and course was very playable. A couple of tough forced carries but never felt there wasn't room to keep the ball in play on the course.
I think its too expensive for a round but most of the high end daily fee courses in the state of CT are not worth the price you have to pay to play them. Maybe the recession will help bring down round costs if we are lucky...
