The Fort Mill Golf Club is an old-style layout that's been updated and renovated over the years, most recently by Clyde Johnson. The front nine was designed by Donald Ross, the backside by George Cobb, can't get much better than that in terms of pedigree! It's located about 20 minutes south of Charlotte in Fort Mill off I-77 to the east. The course has tons of character and interesting holes, where being able to move the ball off the tee is critical. It plays to 6,364 yards from the men's tees, 70.0/124 course and slope, and has some of the better greens around town. Expensive on weekends, easily walkable, conditioning is excellent, and the pace of play tolerable.
