Falcon Lakes is between Leavenworth and Bonner Springs on US 72, northwest of Kansas City. Nice links style course out in the mostly undeveloped former farmland, now turning to housing developments. It was designed by Jay Morrish in 2002 as a links type of layout of 7,086 yards, 122 slope, and 74 course rating. Fun course, somewhat forgiving, Zoysia fairways and bentgrass greens and tees, usually well maintained, and at a reasonable greens fee. Nice change of pace to the more traditional type of courses.

A decent course, is the low-cost day. Course is in good condition, good greens, medium speed, decent fairways, although a little wet in winter but still very playable. Strategy is not usually challenging, but some thought is required. Putting green is sloped terribly and small. Not a lot of sand, and what is there is wet, but it adds interest.

The Oaks Golf Club, Falcon Lakes Golf Course, and Dub's Dred Golf Club., close to Leavenworth all have their own facilities to include it and all courses are fun to play. Falcon Lake Golf ClubFalcon Lake is my favorite club, I do not know why, it's just a nice route with a community housing built around the course, I usually hate, but the houses are not close to the trail you do not have to worry about. A very difficult course that can vary from 5600 to 7100 meters is perfect for golfers of all levels. This course is spread with beautiful fairways, lush greens, and plenty of water and bunkers to get in your way.This course will challenge even the best golfers and still offers a good atmosphere to play.
