Fairwinds Golf Club is in a residential/resort community on Vancouver Island, west of the Georgia Strait. It was designed by Les Furber in the late 1990's and from the tips is short at 6100 yards, 126 slope, and 70.2. A beautiful setting for a golf course with fairways running through heavily forested ground with great viewing areas throughout the course. Just a natural environment with wildlife on the course, especially in the late afternoon. Not a course for the big driver, more of a shotmaker's type of course, were course management is at a premium to distance. Extremely well conditioned, and reasonable rates. A must play if you're in the area.
