F E Warren AFB Golf Club

F.E. Warren golf course is on the U.S. Air Force base on the west side of Cheyenne, exit 12 off I-25, then west on Central to Rodgers, then south to the golf course, on the south side of the Cheyenne CC. While it's on the base, it's open to the public, and the rates are very reasonable. It's not a high end layout, the facilities are basic, about what you'd expect for a military run golf course. It's been around since the 1940's, is fairly forgiving off the tee, and it helps if you can shape your shots as there are a number of dog legs. There's a few tight holes, but otherwise open, just a few bunkers, no water, and tiny greens. It's tips out at 6,600 yards, 105 slope and 68.2 course rating. Generally not as crowded as the Airport course, and much cheaper and more accessible than the Country Club.
