English Turn is a formerly private Jack Nicklaus design on the southeast side of New Orleans, that's now open for public play. Tough layout with water in play on every hole, heavy bunkering, a few holes with tee to green traps, and somewhat large, sloped and tiered greens. Probably the best golf course in New Orleans open to public play. It was a PGA Tour stop for years, and from the tips is just over 7,000 yards, the Blue tees are 6,449 yards, 71.5/130. Beautiful plantation style clubhouse, excellent practice facility, private club feel overall, and pricey.
