Emerald Mountain

Emerald Mountain is located approximately 20 minutes north of downtown Montgomery near Highway I-85, in the foothills at the end of the Appalachian Trail in Elmore County. Parkland and mountain style of course designed by Ward Northrup. The front nine has big elevation change with ravines to carry, tree lined fairways, and rolling and sloping fairways, while the back is more gentle rolling hills along wetlands and ponds. Definitely a shotmaker's type of course with a lot of variety, good conditions, and reasonable greens fees. 7000 yards from the back tees, playing down to 6058 from the whites.
