Emerald Lake is southeast of Charlotte, outside the I-485. The course is routed through a residential development, and from the back tees is 6820 yards, 132 slope from the tips and designed by Gary Wirth in 1996. The routing is some open holes, some tree lined fairways, moderately bunkered, and a good amount of water in play. Greens are mid sized, undulating, and fast. Usually in decent condition, but gets a lot of play, is a bit on the pricey side for the quality of the course.
