Ellsworth Meadows is on the southeast side of Cleveland in Hudson, south of the Ohio Turnpike, Rt 91 south to Barlow Road, then right about a mile. It's a muni, owned and operated by the City of Hudson, and is a good quality course that is always in our rotation, except when it's been raining, the course doesn't drain well. It was designed by Robert Obert in the mid-1970's, and from the tips plays to 6,503 yards, 125 slope and a 70.4 course rating. The downside to playing here is the amount of play the course gets, the upside is that it's reasonably priced. It's a parkland style of layout, fair to all levels of play with some interesting holes, tree lined, water and sand in play a bit. The back side is especially interesting with a lot of movement to the land, and some great risk/reward holes. Not much in the way of clubhouse facilities, very basic, but well done.

We had a frost delay for about 45 minutes but the course handled it very well and was in perfect condition. The greens were really nice to putt on. The course is not very tough, but very enjoyable. The clubhouse had good food at reasonable prices. I saw the starter a couple times during our round and he was very friendly.
