The course is located in Citrus Springs, an hour north and west of Orlando, FL, 90-minutes north of Tampa, FL and 20-minutes west of Ocala, FL, kind of out in the middle of undeveloped north central Florida. It's just golf here, no development, with a good amount of elevation changes, large tree, not palms tree, lined fairways, both unusual for Florida area courses. The greens are on the small side and roll at a good speed with a little undulation. The layout features a series of unique holes, each presenting its own challenge, in a secluded setting. The course was designed by Jim Fazio and opened in 1988, and was laid out on the existing land without a lot of huge earth moving. It measures 7.045 yards and 75.3/147 rating and slope from the back tees. The course is heavily bunkered throughout the fairway landing areas and around the greens. It's generally in good condition, and a true pleasure to play with reasonable fees.
