Eagleglen is located on and operated by the US Air Force Base at Elmendorf, and measures 6,687 yards from the longest tees, 72, course rating 71.6 and a slope rating of 127. It was designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr., and opened in 1971. The course has rolling tree lined fairways, moderate use of bunkers, both fairways and around the greens, and has a creek meandering through it. It's a well regarded course in the Anchorage area.

This was a really good layout, and in better condition that what we've played so far in the Anchorage area. Relatively benign layout, very straightforward over fairly flat land with some mounding and countouring. Great pace of play, and rates, not the most interesting and scenic of layouts, but good solid golf.
