Eagle Ridge is a must play, one of our better courses on the Mornington Peninsula, an easy an hours drive from Melbourne. It's been one of Victoria's more popular courses since it opened in the late 1980's. It was originally the Carlogie Golf course, but was expanded and redesigned by Kevin Hartley, and now plays to 6,116 yards from the back tees. It's mostly a parkland style course, gently rolling hills, and extremely well landscaped. There are tight holes with trees. If you’re a straight hitter, you’ll really enjoy this ... if you bomb the ball all over the place, it will be a long day. It's truly a beautiful setting with trees and flower beds, ornamental waterfalls and ponds, golden bunkers, lush fairways and true, and quick greens. There two two distinct nines, the first featuring the rolling contours of the Cups region, of which Eagle Ridge is at the very edge, and the second flattening out as the course drops towards a more flat plain area. Great fun to play, enjoyable throughout, excellent clubhouse facilities, and reasonable rates.
