Duntroon Highlands is about 2 hours north of Toronto, depending on where you are, just off the 400 in Georgian Bay. Rather shot course, somewhat quirky with a few holes with trees directly in the middle of the fairways or landing zones, reasonably good condition, and very scenic. At 18, you're near the top of the mountain with the views and the course laid out in front of you. The greens are small here, somewhat crowned, and difficult to hold. Mostly open holes with a smattering of trees, it plays to 5896 yards from the white tees, 1262/67.3 ratings. Nice views of Blue Mountain and Georgian Bay, and was designed by Dalton Sampson in the mid-1980's. There's water in play on 12 holes, tree lined fairways, as well as some more open. Don't expect championship caliber conditions or layout quality and you won't be disappointed.

We thought it an easy to moderate golf course and ... ... fun while you are there. I would recommend this golf course if you don't want to pay much to play a golf course, and don't really care if it's championship caliber
