Dunham Forest is a parkland style of golf course, close to both the M6 and M62 and within 25 minutes drive of Manchester City Centre and 15 minutes drive from Manchester Airport on the southwest side of town. It was originally designed by John Bealey and modified by Dave Thomas. The course can play to 6,600 from the white tees, par is 72. The layout is characterized with tight tree lined fairways, where course management skills are paramount. This is true with the tee ball, as well as on approach to the greens. There's not a let up on this golf course, each holes has its own set of challenges to overcome. It's akin to playing though a forest with a golf course inserted within, a true shotmaker's delight. Customarily well maintained, a pleasant greeting and lunch in the clubhouse, and a good choice for golf in the Manchester/Liverpool area.
