Dogwood Hills is a fairly routine course, nothing like the high end courses around Biloxi, and reasonably priced. It's short at 6,000 yards, and designed in the early 1990's by Brent Williams. The course has a slope of 119 and a 69 course rating, and doesn't play all that difficult, driver is really unnecessary here. Most of the holes are with pine tree lined fairways, some narrow, relatively flat, but with some movement in the land, lightly bunkered, with some water in play. It's about 15 minutes north of Biloxi off Rt 67 in the Desota National Forest, north of I-10.

This is a course where straight is rewarded over length. Balls that wander are heavily penalized. The course itself is in great condition. The rough is cut a little unevenly but everything else is great. Snack bar is good. Course seems to be coming along well.

Fairways and rough have improved since last July but still have a ways to go. Sand traps are greatly improved and greens are excellent.
