Image of Disney's Osprey Ridge Golf Course Orlando FL

Osprey Ridge is a 1992 design by Tom Fazio, and is the most secluded of the Disney courses, winding its way through the scrub pines and natural areas away from the noise and traffic of the Magic Kingdom. It is an Audubon Sanctuary designated course where Fazio moved over 1 million yards of top soil to create the mounding, elevated tees and greens. It is the most modern to today's golf standards of all of the Disney courses, and the one to play. As you would expect from Disney, it is always in excellent condition, and always expensive for the Orlando market. From the Crest tees it's 6,629 yards, 71.7/124 course and slope and is a challenging layout, would suggest playing from shorter tees than you usually play.

The previous two reviewers obviously had days at Osprey. I just played this week and while expensive, it was in awesome shape. A very unique course, having played all of Disney's courses this is far and away the best layout. Also played Mystic Dunes and Southern Dunes this trip, give them a shot as well.

We switched up last day and went back to Osprey Ridge. Unfortunately it monsooned over night and the course was a swamp. We still played from the championship tees and scored well considering. Pace of play was extremely slow and the greens were running about a 3 on the stimp. Expensive, slow, poor conditions, I think I'll skip Osprey next trip to Orlando.

Having played this course before I was looking forward to the return. Sadly disappointed. Not all was the superintendents fault. Three inches of overnight rain saturated the layout. The greens were woefully slow. Hard to get used to that speed. Pace of play was horrible as we came in at over five hours. It's a great track. Too bad they don't care enough about the patrons to make the greens great and keep things moving. Not worth the kind of money they charge.
