Discovery Bay is just south of Port Townsend, on the east side of Discovery Bay. The original nine holes are are supposed to be the oldest golf course in the state, opening in the 1920's, the additional nine was added in the 1990's by Mike Asmundson.
Classic Northwest type golf course with tree lined fairways, over relatively flat land in a beautiful setting with views of the Olympic and Cascade mountains and Discovery Bay. The front nine has three each of par threes, fours and fives, and drivable par 4's, while the back side has the views, more updated hole designs, and is a real test through the trees. There's three tees from 5,200 yards to 6,700 yards, the White tees are at 6,216, 68.1/113, course/slope ratings.
