Desert Dunes is north of I-10 off Gene Autrey Drive and is nothing but golf without home sites you usually see out here. The course is open and links style incorporating the desert terrain and vegetation. The course opened in 1988, was designed by Robert Trent Jone's Jr, and is 6900 yards from the tips and a 142 slope. It's difficult and challenging with undulating fairways along the natural desert areas, with sand and a little water, and good sized greens, moderately fast and with good undulations. Well conditioned, and good service.
