The Delray Beach Golf Club is on the west side of I-95 between Linton and Atlantic, and is very convenient to the interstate if you're just passing through. If you appreciate the older designs that have been restored and maintained over the years, you may like Delray. It's a Donald Ross layout from the 1920's, plays to 6,800+ yards from the tips, from the blue tees it's 6,380 yards, 70.3/121 course and slope rating. The layout is a tight, parkland style with tree lined fairways, a lot of sand, both in the landing zones, and guarding the greens. The greens tend to be on the small side, are slightly elevated from the fairways, and require an accurate short game to not only hit, but hold. Conditioning is very basic, it does get a lot of play, and it seems they've tinkered with the original design a bit too much to be considered a Ross classic.
