Delcastle is on the west side of Wilmington, off Kirkwood Highway at McKennans Church Road. The course is a traditional type of layout, the front nine an old classic feel to it, some elevation change, and a good set of par 3's. The course was designed in the 1970's by Ed Ault and from the back tees plays to 6,600 yards 70.4/116 ratings. The backside is over more level land with the exception of #13 which has a nice drop in elevation. It helps to work the ball here, a number of doglegs or gentle bends to the holes. The staff is professional and service oriented, the clubhouse facilities updated, but basic. One of our better courses in the greater Wilmington area, and convenient to town.
