Delaware Springs is a good solid muni located about 1 1/2 hours north of Austin in Burnet, about twenty minutes north of Marble Falls. It's a parkland style course golf design with only a few homes on the course, mostly just isolated holes through the trees and hills. It plays to 6829 yards from the back tees, with a course rating of 72.0 and a 121 slope, and designed by Donald Bradshaw. Nice clubhouse and driving range with a putting green that surrounds a huge cactus in the middle. Beautiful setting, the rates were very reasonable, fun course to play, challenging, but fair and well maintained.

Playing Delaware Springs beats the high cost of playing some of the Austin area golf courses. The course is challenging with some narrow fairways, and was in good shape, with pace of play just over 4 hours. Need a good short game here to score well, overall a fun track.
