Del Lago is east of Tucson in Vail, about 15 minutes east of the airport exit on I-10. It's a "reasonably" priced course for the Tucson area, fun to play and in good condition. It was designed by Tim Nugent, and from the back tees is 7200 yards, 136 slope, and a 73.9 course rating, routed through a housing development. It's like the poor man's Ventana in a way, a desert course with good elevation change through the hilly land and valleys, with water on six holes, with nice views out to the Rincon Mountains and the Santa Catalinas. A little cooler out here, at 3400 ft.
