DeBell Golf Club is a short, tight parkland style course of 5,633 yards from the back tees, par 71, 68.8 course rating and 114 slope. It was designed in the mid-1950's by William F. Bell, William H. Johnson, and Richard Bigler. If you're accurate off the tee and around the greens you can score well here, due to the length. Big hitters thinking they can have their way with the course will soon find themselves in the trees. It definitely favors the shotmaker's, not the long ball. It's on the east side of the I-5 at exit 147 in Burbank, set up against the foothills and Wildwood Canyon Park. Muni type facility, cheap greens fees, rude service, and once you're out on the course, it's crowded. Other than that, it's fine!

very short with a bunch of par 4s <300 yards but with huge dog legs so unless you've got controlled big hooks/slices with the driver you play a bunch of par 4s as 9i, PW, putter. But it's pretty tight and it's easy to lose balls there, so a fun test where you can score very well if you're hitting it straight that day but very very badly if you're taking lots of penalties. Greens are hard to read cause it's up the mountains above Burbank and generally the putts want to break towards Burbank, but it's not the same on every green, so sometimes the putts look like they break uphill but other greens it'll still break away from Burbank but only maybe slightly less than it looks like.

Once again, course is in fantastic condition with an excellent senior rate of $29. Fairways, greens, and traps were all in near perfect condition. Greens were fast but true and traps (where I spent most of the day) had fluffy playable sand
