Dakota Creek was a nice find. It's just south of the Canadian border in Custer, which is 5 miles east of Blaine off the I-5 at exit 274. Played this course for the 1st time over the weekend. The back 9 moves up into the hills and has views of the Pacific and the San Juan Islands. It's definitely the more challenging side and the views are fantastic. Good mix of holes, some narrow and tree lined, others open up a bit, the back side has more character than the front. Well maintained, beautiful views, nice setting for a golf course, and at reasonable rates.
It's not a high profile daily fee course, better probably for the mid-high handicapper, short at 5,200 yards with a 102 slope. Very enjoyable, and worth the trip.
