Used to be three golf courses here routed through dense forests with bunkers protecting the greens and fairways all over the course, but they closed the Creek course in 2010, and gave it to the city for a park. The Cypress plays to 6909 yards, 134 slope, and the Tradition, 7220 yards, 136 slope. Both are good solid courses, the Tradition, which was more recently designed by Keith Foster is the best course here. The course routing is very straightforward with heavy emphasis on large and deep bunkers, ravines, creeks, ponds, tall pines, live oaks and magnolia trees. It's a more traditional course which requires good course management, not power to play well here. Very well maintained facility.
On Monday, Cypresswood Golf Club officially closed the Creek Course, which now will become part of the Spring Creek Greenway Project. Still two good courses here, the Cypress and the Tradition, both great tracks. With this economy, they just couldn't make it with 54 holes. Flag Content
