Crotched Mountain is a classic New England ski and golf resort at the base of Crotchet Mountain in the New Hampshire Monadnock region about 30 minutes west of Manchester. The course is an old Donald Ross design from the 1920's, the tips are only 6,100 yards, 69.2/125, the middle tees are 5,500, the front tees 4,600 yards. The views are fantastic, and the course is generally in great shape. Hilly and sloping fairways, the greens are postage stamps and difficult to hold. The fairways are all tree lined, and most times a good 3 metal will do off the tee, there's a few holes with water in play, and minimal amound of sand. The pro shop is small and functional, there's a great deck for a post round beverage. While it is a resort with accommodations, you don't need to be a guest to play the course.
