Crosswinds is a 27 holes facility, located in Plymouth, about 30 miles southeast of Boston on the Atlantic. The course was designed by the Hurdzan/Fry and the three nines opened in 02',03' and 06'. Eighteen hole yardage, handicap, and slope are about the same no matter which track you choose at 7,000, 135 slope, and 73.5 handicap from the tips. The course is always well maintained, lower in cost than most of the upscale daily fees in the market, and is a pleasure to play. The routing is somewhat rolling with a few holes having good elevation change. The greens are sometimes raised on plateaus, and otherwise protected by bunkers. The fairways are mostly forgiving, but are tree lined, and off line shots get caught up in them Generally a fair and fun layout.
