Crooked Hollow is west of Shreveport on the southwest side of Greenwood, off I-20 at US 79, south to Greenwood Road, west to Elysian Fields, the south to the golf course. Used to be a good public layout in the Shreveport area, but conditions have slipped in recent years, still a good value though. The course has been around since the early 1990's, designed by James Lipe, and is a parkland layout with trees lining all the holes. There is water in play on six holes, and a fair amount of sand. The White tees are 6,255 yards, 69.1/118, but it's not easy to shoot your handicap here. The fairways are tight and not forgiving if you're off line, the greens are on the small side and some are elevated. It's a little rough around the edges at times, but a good alternative for public golf on the west side of town, and close to the Interstate. Basic clubhouse, decent snack bar/restaurant, and a range to warm up on.
