Crooked Creek is 20 minutes south of Raleigh in Fuquay Varina, off Main Street in a residential community. The golf course is aptly named, and should have been named Crooked Tree Hilly Creek for the nature of the course. It's a fairly difficult golf course, not one that the higher handicappers would enjoy, and generally pricey. It's routed over tree lined and hilly fairways, designed by Chuck Smith, and plays to 6,231 yards from the tips, 70.4/132 ratings from the black tees, Some good elevation change throughout the course, interesting holes, skill and target golf required to play well here. Generally in good shape, the pace of play has been slow the few times I've played here.

Have just played this course for the first time in a while. Well what can one say Fairways Excellent Greens Excellent Tees Excellent Shop staff very good only one gripe was the pace of play. This course has changed beyond recognition, all credit to the owners and staff you might think it easy but play on a breezy day and the wind changes on every hole well worth a visit it won't be twenty long before we play again.
