Cree Meadows is a semi private development course in Ruidoso. It's fairly short at 6000 yards from the back tees, 107 slope, and 67 course rating, and is parkland style with tree lined fairways. The course opened in 1947, is in a nice setting with views all around of the Sacramento Mountains. The routing is mostly tight fairways and small greens, light bunkering and a little water. Challenging if you don't keep it in play, don't really need the driver here to score well, except there are a couple of par 4's on the back nine that are drivable.

Shot 29-42 at this place in a high school tournament once. Next day fared better with a 30-36. Front side is so easy I saw a Caveman (from Carlsbad) do it. Keep it between the white stakes and you can go low here.

Very consistent golf course. Great rates, short tract, tends to play somewhat slow, but always provides an overall enjoyable experience that's not too damaging to the wallet.
