Cotton Creek is located north of Gulf Shores off the Gulf Shores Parkway, just north of the Jack Edwards Airport. We took them up on their offer to play both courses for $40 more than the 18 hole rate, and it was worth every penny. Two great Arnold Palmer courses in excellent condition throughout, nice pace of play, we played 36 holes in just over 9 hours. Typical Palmer design standards, risk/reward and heroic holes, but with some bail out areas, well bunkered, and water in play on almost every hole in some shape or form. The Cotton Creek course is over 7,000 yards 136 slope from the tips, and is routed through lakes and tree lined fairways, on rolling ground with mounding throughout, and was a real challenge. Cypress Bend, is the newer course, and is a little shorter at 6,484-yards, 123 slope 71.8 with water in play throughout. Just as challenging on approach to the greens, but a little more forgiving off the tee. Very well bunkered, and played over the same type of land as Cotton. A must play if you're vacationing in the area, a real value if you can take the time for a 36 hole day, with a nice lunch in the clubhouse.

Craft is a good design, a little more expensive than Kiva Dunes, enjoyable course nonetheless, wide open off the tee, but a lot of water and sand. Would play here again, but look for lower off-peak rates.
