Coyote Creek is one of the better public golf courses in the Peoria area. It's on the southwest side of town, just west of the airport on Lancaster Road. The course has a lot of variety, open links-style holes, tight tree lined, elevation change, water, and a lot of sand. It was designed by Bruce Borland, and from the tips is 6,700+ yards, the Blue tees play to 6,225 yards, 70.0/130. There's a few homes along a couple of holes, but mostly it's natural corridors. Very well maintained course, good sized clubhouse, and full practice range. It's a tight layout requiring placement, not necessarily distance off the tee to score well, challenging overall.
